Coaching

Every year we need to fill volunteer coaching positions for our teams. If you would be interested in coaching please contact our Coaching Development Officer –Karen Holmes, saintsnccc@gmail.com

Parents and players are encouraged to register as coaches. There will be training and lots of support during the season. All coaches are required to complete a Working with Children check – please contact our registrar for details here.

Once you have volunteered to be a Coach, you will be expected to complete the Foundation Coaching Accreditation which is an online course. The Club will reimburse you for the course fee.

Joondalup Netball Association will also assist in helping you develop your coaching accreditations if you do wish to pursue coaching further than the club requirement of Foundation Level.

NET SET GO COACHES

Click here to download a rotation roster for those of you who are required to rotate players. These sheets will help you keep track of your rotations regardless of the size of your team. The template will help you maintain some consistency in your rotations. For example rotations for a whole game keep players in attacking or defensive positions rather then changing them from one end of the court to the other.

Congratulations! You’ve been appointed as a team coach. It may seem a big responsibility at first and you may feel a little nervous, but you can survive — and enjoy the experience — with a little pre-planning.

There are alot of people around the club that are experienced and would love to help you along the way, Karen Holmes our coaching coordinator has a lot of energy and enthusiasm and netball knowledge to share and is more than happy to! We are very lucky to have some super coaches who have experience with club and association coaching - reach out through Karen and we will all assist you to grow in your role as coach!
